Hey lovely people! When I first thought of creating this website I wanted to open up to my audience and showcase a bit of myself. The first thought that popped in my mind was who’s the closest person to me that I can both trust and can tell you about me properly? My sister? My mother? Maybe even my manager since she’s with me all the time! Then as I started thinking of some questions that will sort of veer the interview to fit the details, I’d like you to know, I stopped to think, and realized the best person to answer these questions was, to put simply myself. So here it goes, here is a candid interview with the closest person to me!
What do you do for a living?
If you’re here you probably already know who I am and what I do, but for those who are new; HEYYY THERE! and welcome! My name is Eleen. I’m a 25-year-old Saudi fashion and lifestyle influencer and content creator. I started as a model but since have grown my platform and now have a follower base of more than 2M followers categorizing me as the leading Saudi Influencer in the region. I am very proud of what I have achieved and could not have done it without my loving audience, so for that, I dedicate this piece to you. Everyone who has been there since the beginning and everyone who has joined in recently, I thank you.
Who do you look up to the most?
Honestly speaking, I look up to myself. Every day I work on how to become a better me, and I only ever compare myself to myself. How do I get better in this, how do I do better than this, and how will my future self-judge my present self? Will I be proud? I am pretty sure I will 😉
What’s next for you?
The next step for me? Hmm, I can’t tell. But let me know what you guys think my next step is in this career as a Saudi influencer!
Why do you do the things you do every day?
As a Saudi Influencer, my daily routine mainly revolves around content creation so to put it simply, my job is my life, and my life is my job. So, this is why I wake up every morning. To do what I love doing most!
What do you really believe in? (What do you know to be true?)
I believe in God, I have faith in humanity, and I am true to myself. I am a religious person and I constantly and continuously do the best I can to get closer to Allah, my family, and myself.
What bothers you, and what are you doing about it?
Surprisingly, I am not bothered by many things. I do have a few pet peeves though. Like people who chew with their mouths open or people who smoke in their cars, But other than that. I mainly avoid confrontations, so I don’t do much about it =))
What worries you?
I am constantly worried about the next step, what am I going to do after? How am I going to grow, what is my next step? And that is my constant worry. How to develop and grow.
What does “be comfortable with yourself” mean to you?
Being comfortable with yourself doesn’t only mean that you do not compare yourself to others it means to actually feel OK with whatever you have in life. It can mean many things to different people but, at the core of it all, is the sense that you are okay just as you are.
Our society is constantly pocking our insecurities and putting us against each other; who’s the prettiest, the smartest, the most successful, and the best dressed, the world often makes us feel like we’re in one giant competition — who defines those standards, anyway? It’s really no wonder if you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin every now and then.
If you had one year left to live, how would you spend it?
Actually speaking, the current covid-19 pandemic, has put a lot of things into perspective for me. In other words, just live every year like it’s your last. I learned how to let things go and not upset myself and that communication and connection are the most important things for development. Love yourself, love the people around you, and if you have something to say, SPEAK UP!
