Three Spring/Summer 2021 items you must have in your closet!

This past year, although was a weird one for all of us, some of the most significant decades have played a massive role in this season’s looks with a major rise in vintage fashion trends. We’re obsessed with every single one of them, and I’ll tell you why! 

Being a couch potato, this year was not only a personality trait but also a mandatory requirement due to the current situation with the pandemic and all. The first style that came out of this was, wait for it, sweatpants and athleisure as day-to-day wear. What a trend! Styled with padded blazers for a vintage hint and heals you have the perfect daytime business chick look. 

This brings us to the second trend, and my personal favorite one! The sweetheart cardigan. This cutesy look gives a feminine presence with a nod to the 50’s. Which give me an idea for a future blog; Trends of the 50’s that we should totally bring back! You guys remember the poodle skirt? Or the hair styles! Gosh, to die for! Nonetheless, The go to colors of the season are pastels, pastels, pastels! Wear the sweetheart cardigan with an all-monochromatic look and ballerina flats and you have the perfect brunch outfit. 

And Last but not least! The tracker boots! Inspired by the grunge aesthetic. These boots are clunky and chunky, also very thick and may look intimidating to those with simpler styles. But trust me on this! They are the most comfortable pieces to wrap your feet in. A great way to pare them would be with a short floral dress to break the heaviness. 

Personally speaking, I would definitely wear all three, and I have! Not only apart but also styled together. Feminine touch with the sweetheart cardigan, a comfort element with matching tone sweatpants and finish it with a trucker boot and a belt bag in a colour that breaks all the monochrome.
